______ Students under age 18 must complete a State Approved Driver’s Education Program and hold their Learner’s Permit for 9 months to receive their temporary driver’s license (DTS-B)
______ The Virginia DMV requires students under age 18 taking the Driver’s Manual/Re-Examination class must complete 36 hours of Driver’s Education if they have never taken driver’s education. Students 18 and older must complete an 8-hour course for the Re-Examination class. Students under the age 18 make take the e8-hour course if they have previously completed driver’s education and can provide proof of the completion (DEC-1; pink or green certificate) You must take this class after failing the learners permit three times.
______A parent or guardian must participate with the student(s) under age 18 in an additional 90-minute driver education component as part of the in-classroom portion of the driver education curriculum. The parent or guardian and student will be required to sign an Affirmation of Attendance, DMV form DTS 90, to acknowledge completion of the required 90-minute component.
No Refund if student fail to attend the course and not reschedule 24 prior course expire.
